is the plentiful fine restaurants and a wealth of tours and historically
significant sites to visit. The lighthouses are beautiful and the whole
scene is that of color and charm.
What you might not know is that people travel from all
over the world come to Maine specifically for the golf courses. With some
of the most stunning and scenic golf courses like the Robert Trent Jones
course that is carved out of the mountain to the Samoset Resort's course
by the ocean that is often called the Pebble Beach of the East.
There are more than 35 golf courses in Maine to
challenge golfers of all ages and ability. New course are planed and some

All through the spring and summer golfing in Maine is a
golfing dream come true with such a wide variety of courses and so many
courses being updated and built as time goes on you could spend 5 summers
in Maine and still not play every hole.
Most of the comments and my own observations of playing
golf in Maine were the absolutely beautiful scenery and views. Not many
places have such excellent visual appeal as the mountain course at
Sugarloaf or Lake Kezar. You might find yourself wanting to take some
pictures of all the breathtaking sights you will find.
The other thing about Maine's golfing scene is that the
courses were really challenging. Sure there were courses designed for all
levels of players but they were still challenging and playing them well is
a real joy and when your game is off it is still a blast to spend time on
the courses and people often visit just to relax and spend time being
"out".
